Aside from the size of implants, another key factor for breast augmentation is profile (projection) of implants. This determines how far the implant projects from the wall of your chest. Implants may have low height but wide diameter or tall height but narrower diameter or middle between.

The plan for breast augmentation, such as shape and size of implants or method of surgery, should vary from person to person depending on one’s conditions like the original shape of the breasts or chest structure. You would need to consider the most suitable size and shape of an implant for your own case as taking into account the ratio of the breast to a whole body.

◆ Is there any correlation between breast augmentation and breast cancer?

◆ "I am afraid of getting capsular contracture."
Capsular contracture is one of the side effects that those considering or undergoing breast augmentation are most concerned about.
It refers to the case when body defense mechanism towards a foreign material (an implant for breast augmentation) is initiated as fibrosis cells surround the implant by forming thick membranes. In order to prevent this, it is important to perform surgery as using a rough-textured implant, inserting an implant underneath the pectoralis major (main muscle situated at the chest area) and using an endoscope to check the surgical sites as ensuring internal bleeding will not occur.


Breast augmentation is performed under general anesthesia, and it is a major surgery that will change the volume of breasts and body contour of females.

Types of Anesthesia

# GENERAL ANESTHESIA
- In case of general anesthesia, patients will be under unconscious condition during operation. During operation, patients cannot react and detect external stimulus. General anesthesia can be operated by airway intubation. Airway intubation has to be done by general anesthesia doctor and this procedure is the most important issue regarding general anesthesia. Through airway intubation, patients can be provided oxygen and after the procedure carbon dioxide emission can be accordingly achieved.



#SLEEPING ANESTHESIA 
- Sleeping anesthesia, it is also known as "intravenous anesthesia". In contrast to general anesthesia, after the surgery is finished, patients can wake up right away once stop injecting intravenous anesthesia. Sometimes, patients are confused with sleeping anesthesia and painless anesthesia. But painless anesthesia is simple anesthesia type which belongs to local anesthesia type.



#PAINLESS ANESTHESIA
- Painless anesthesia is a temporary measure to operate local anesthesia. It means that this one is kind of supplements.
