Hello, Today I want to introduce about the shape of implant for breast augmentation. There are several types of implants such as round type and tear-drop type. The advantages of each implant are individually different. After measuring the breast and implant size, and then you have to take a deep consideration for the shape of implant. Which type you want to prefer to be inserted?

Round Type
The implant is circular and is the most widely used implant throughout the world including Korea
Water-Drop(Tear-Drop) Type
The implant has tear-drop shape with small upper portion and large lower portion. Although it is used frequently, if the upper portion of the breast is small or sunken or if the implant is not properly situated, the breast may end up having crooked shape.
The suitable cases for round type and water-drop type)
-Round Type
The distance between nipple and bottom line is in normal range.
When laying down, the appearance is looking-natural.
Those who have droopy appearance of breast.
-Water-Drop(Tear-Drop) Type
The distance between nipple and bottom line is quite shorter than normal range.
The chest is an upper position.
Those who have a narrow chest.
Those who do not have droopy appearance of breast.
Water-Drop type enable to have more voluminized body line.
