Arrow nose refers to the shape with elongated laging of the tip of the nose or lowering of the tip of the nose and columella, excessively visible nostril which is relatively common in oriental people.
 The nose looks longer because the cartilage that composes the tip of the nose is situated at an angle or the columella is short, in such case, the location at which the columella meets the lips is depressed at angle less than 90° and the tip of the nose is lagged downward.


Surgery procedure
It is important to correct the location of the tip of the nose cartilage which is situated abnormally too low, for its proper position, and select the surgical method by considering the size of tip of the nose cartilage and length of nasal septum cartilage, etc.
Fundamentally, in the event of lagging down of the tip of the nose cartilage because the nasal septum cartilage is elongated, excise the lower portion of nasal septum cartilage and re-correct the tip of the nose cartilage upward.
If only the tip of the nose cartilage is lagged downward, it can be corrected by erect the center with nasal septum cartilage and reallocating the tip of the nose cartilage to this pillar.
If it becomes severer whenever he or she laughs with well developed muscle of the tip of the nose, alleviate the symptom by excising this muscle.

1) 1 day after the surgery : Sterilize the surgical site and anti-biotic injection will be given
2) 7 days after the surgery : Removing the stitches


Precautions after the surgery
1) Patients should avoid drinking alcohol and smoking
2) To fix surgical site, patient should avoid doing hard excercise
3) To prevent from being infected and inflammated, hot bath and sauna should be banned for recovery.
